Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship Component Executing Agency The executing agency is a non–profit association called Parque Tec, founded in 2004 as the first NGO incubator park specialized in Software in Costa Rica . This incubator park provides an interaction environment with a high-value added business support sources and services, such as physical facility; legal, technical, marketing and accounting support team; and permanent business coaching, in order to foster an entrepreneurship culture and improve the possibility of growth of new dynamic technology-based businesses, mainly during its start-up development stage.
Mission Provide a “save haven” environment and a full range of business support sources and services to entrepreneurs in order to create an entrepreneurship culture and foster an economic, social and sustainable development model. General Objective Strengthen and expand Costa Rica 's first software business incubator in order to generate a critical mass of technology-based entrepreneurs as a model for developing a business-minded technology sector and fertilizing the rest of the LINK Promotion of Dynamic Business Program . Specific Objectives - Generate a critical mass of technology-based ventures and SMEs that has realizable growth potential (mainly export-oriented).
- Develop alternative seed capital financing mechanisms for entrepreneurs without incurring debt (venture capital fund).
- Accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial businesses through an array of innovative support resources and services.
- Create an attractive social and cultural environment for budding entrepreneurs in Costa Rica .
Activities to be carried out - Positioning of the business incubator model.
- Offer seminars and training programmes for entrepreneurs in different areas, such as management, finance, accounting, marketing, human development, and several technical courses.
- Support services and professional coaching in specific areas.
- Create a seed capital fund for entrepreneurs.
